Image Area
Maximum imageable area for film imaged at Subia is 12.7" x
22" including crops, bleeds and printer's marks. We can outsource
larger film for you if needed.
Specifications
Be sure to indicate the printer's specs for the film. These
are:
Line screen
Emulsion up or down
Positive or Negative Film
Type of Proof
Dot gain, if printing on a stock with an unusual gain, i.e.,
newsprint
Dot shape and screen angles if other than standard, as in
the case of silk screening
Scans
300ppi effective resolution at final size for color and grayscale
images, 1200ppi effective resolution for line art
CMYK or grayscale
EPS or TIFF; for a TIFF image in Quark
the picture box must not be set to "none". EPS images must be saved
with a "TIFF (8 bits per pixel)" preview, and the encoding
set to "Binary", NOT "JPEG",. Be sure the Halftone
Screen and Transfer Function check boxes are not selected in Photoshop.
Avoid compression such as JPEG and
LZW.
